*pulls out hair*
So I'm at Margie and Dan's. I got my computer back for repairs a few days ago and it said they couldn't replicate the issue but they replaced the wireless network card. I brought both computers to my sister's place, and today I decided to set up the new one. First it went through about 2 hours (literally) of updates. Then I logged into the internet and it worked -- for half an hour. Then it went right back to cutting out every two minutes.
So.Incredibly.Frustrating.
My sister's friend's son is pretty tech-savvy (he built his own computer) and he's said he will take a look at it and see what he can see. If that doesn't work, I think I'm going to have my niece Krystle be "me" and make a call to Acer. She's *great* at that kind of thing, whereas I am ... not. I just want it fixed properly or my money back.
I'm glad I brought my older computer with me as well. I'm on that one now. I'm going to stay online for at least an hour just to make sure the cutting out problem isn't due to some issue here with the WiFi (even though I know it is not.) (At least i hope it is not.) (*fingers crossed*)
On the good news front, I finished the latest Chet & Bernie book last night. Chet always cheers me up, so I'm going to start on the next one today!
76. Scents and Sensibility by Spencer Quinn
The latest installment of the Chet & Bernie Mysteries is a stellar tale. This one had the usual fun commentary from brave and loyal Chet the Jet, but it also had a lot of suspense mixed in with the fun. Poor Chet is put through the ringer in this one and I was legitimately worried for both Chet and Bernie. There was also a moment where I literally got tears in my eyes because the love between man and dog was so strong and heartwarming. The mystery was also more understandable this time, but I’m here for the strong Chet-focus so that’s just secondary anyway.
