There were tears, but I DID IT
People think I'm lying when I say that technology hates me.
So, tried to move the furniture around. Looked awful. Then I started the set-up. The first obstacle was when I couldn't figure out how to plug in the external speakers. That was on me. Totally didn't notice the little plug. Next came the set-up, and therein was the horror. Microsoft insisted that I set up a PIN. Fine. When I tried to set up a PIN, it hung on that option. Couldn't skip it. Couldn't go back.
I googled how to fix it. So many options, most of which I didn't know how to do. That's when I literally cried. Then I went back to googling. FINALLY found a guy who suggested turning off the internet and starting over. Did that and HALLELUJAH THE ANGELS SANG. The computer skipped the step and I was able to finish up.
Sweet Jumping Jehoshaphat that was horrible.
On the plus side, the external speakers work! I will be able to move about while watching Netflix or whatever. It's the little things, people.
Now, to try to recreate my bookmarks. And make dinner. I'm having a Pepsi right now because I deserve it.
Any suggestions for free virus scanners? I was using AVG but I am open to suggestions.
