A question, and Fanfic Author Appreciation #2
Oz S5 finished downloading last night. Only took slightly over 24 hours. I tried to play the beginning of the first ep today, just to make sure it worked. And... it didn't. I have sound, but no video. A message flashes up that says "error downloading codec".
So, a question to those more technologically advanced than me (which means, basically, *everyone*): Is there a way I can 'fix' this codec thing, or do I have to re-download everything again? Also, if I have to re-download, how do I ensure I don't get the same problem with the codec? Please help!

Now, onto Fanfic Author Appreciation #2. Erin. Her wonderful stories can be found at her site, Mercury Rising. The thing I love most about Erin is that she never loses sight of the fact that yes, hot sex is hot sex, but hot sex with emotion is a thousand times hotter. She gets inside the characters heads during intimacy in a way that almost literally leaves me gasping. Her gapfillers are outstanding and she is one of the few writers who can bring in an original character in a series and not only make him believable and real, but make the original characters interactions with him actually make sense. The Kane Series is just outstanding. Occasionally I go back and re-read the epilogue and just sit there smiling to myself.
