I was bored and annoyed they felt we needed two episodes to know the Governor is batshit insane. Also when they dumped Pete in the lake I immediately thought fishtanks 2.0. Otherwise why no head shot?
As much as I want to see world building and how other groups are surviving I get annoyed when the other people seem to be complete idiots and yet have managed to survived. Last week when the woman where in that high rise, with a handful of oxygen tanks we were supposed to believe had lasted 2 years or so and they still hadn't figured out how to kill a walker. I just rolled my eyes. This week, the kid gets grabbed by a walker and these idiot don't immediately go for the head.

And yet I think they were trying to still factor in some redemption for the Governor even as they had him return to his crazy, evil ways. Otherwise why tell us about growing up as an abused child?

This episode and last, were just clumsy attempts to shuffle things around in order to intro new characters and give us the inevitable Governor vs prison showdown.

However, I would put Carol in the same category as Shane or the Governor. Neither would I compare what Hershel did vs Carol's actions. It all comes down to the writing of how they handled the outbreak for me. When it was basically 2 red shirts they painted things one way and when it was Sasha & Glenn suddenly they had things like IV kits, ambu bags and herbs picked just outside the garden. All of which if used on the 2 people they just sat to the side and I dunno, waited for an act of God or something would have changed the Carol storyline, and yes for me the motivation and action after the act do indeed count, and do indeed make Carol redeemable in my eyes.
