Snorfled from rileyc:

1. Leave a comment to this post! (and say that you want a letter)
2. I will give you a letter.
3. Post the names of five fictional characters whose names begin with that letter, and your thoughts on each. The characters can be from books, movies, or TV shows.

1. John McClane - What I love about John McClane is that he's got depth, which is rare for this kind of character. Yes, he's snarky and badass, but he's not a hero -- he does what he has to do. He misses his family, he's lonely, he has regrets, he gets SCARED. He's three dimensional. Plus, he's got a fabulously sexy bald head. *nods* (4 Die Hard movies; played by Bruce Willis)

2. Matt Farrell - Matt's also got "a lot going on up there". On the surface he's a fast talking supersmart hacker geek, but there are enough little physical quirks to let us know that Matt has his own issues. I love that he never loses his exuberance -- check out the awe-filled look on his face at Woodlawn -- and that he steps up to the plate when he's needed. Plus, adorably floppy hair. *nods* (Live Free or Die Hard; played by Justin Long)

3. Frank Moses - Frank is a calmer, sweeter John McClane. Yes, he can kick your ass (he's "retired, extremely dangerous" for a reason) but he's totally schmoopy inside -- he's totally nervous about meeting Sarah, and his interactions with her make the movie. Plus, super awesome car stunt. *nods* (RED; played by Bruce Willis)

4. Jack Mosley - Mosley is an overweight, alcoholic cop on the take. He just has to get a con 16 blocks to the courthouse. When everything goes wrong, he too steps up to the plate and rediscovers the good cop he used to be -- even at the risk of his own life and career. It's a great performance. Plus? Nope, nothing to drool over in this one. ;) (16 Blocks; played by Bruce Willis)

5. Dr. Malcom Crowe - He's soft spoken, smart, and caring. He's also dead. What's not to love? (The Sixth Sense; played by Bruce Willis)

It's nice when your favourite actor has such a large body of work.

In other news: last night the computer would not turn on. Like I mean I tried literally 75 times and nothing. Today he turned on on attempt #2. *throws up hands* On the plus side, I didn't cry or anything, heh. I was just like... okay. This happened.

Today I made sure that everything that needed to be saved was saved, because I think the next time this happens I'm going to have to go out and buy a new computer. I've debated between that and bringing this one in for repairs, but with all that's wrong with it (randomly turns itself off; multiple attempts required to turn it on; makes buzzing noise; DVD burner no longer works) it'll just be throwing away my money. *sigh* Good thing I've been a. saving up and b. got that raise.

OH. I HAVE DRAGONS. Thank you, mdlaw and spike7451! *pets their scaly blue heads*
