101 in 1001

Inspired by no_apologies_86, I've decided to take part in mission101.

The goal is to make a list of 101 tasks that you want to complete in the next 1001 days. All the things on your list should be specific and have a result that you can clearly define. So, "keep apartment clean" wouldn't work, but "maintain cleanliness of apartment weekly" would ( Read more... )

What a fantastic idea! I love this. I too work well with a goal and a deadline in mind, so maybe I'll adopt it. We'll see.

I'm very, very proud of some of the things you posted on there. Looks like I'll have to be your cheerleader. :D :D

It was a little intimidating, but then you have to realize that it's almost 3 years that you're giving yourself to complete the tasks. Completely do-able! And I'm hoping that the repetitive nature of a lot of them (keeping apt cleaning, walking weekly) will make them become a habit that I don't even have to think about and will continue after the 101 challenge is done. And if that doesn't happen, I'll just add 'em to the next challenge!

I admire you so much for making this list and your obvious determination to see it through.

If you manage to achieve no. 53 please let me know how you did it

Will watch for weekly updates!

Oh, craaaaap. I'll have to edit the list!

Aaaand I apparently need to check out some website to get my list of options before I can take advantage of the free financial advice. I'll get on that sometime this week. :)

for your credit cards: a coworker was telling me about feedthepig. she said it's taught her how to have one of her credit cards completely paid off in under a year.

for walkathon, OMG DO YOU WANT TO DO THE WALK FOR HUNGER WITH ME IN MAY????

also, this is an awesome idea. i think i'm going to do this as well. i feel totally inspired by this.

Just bookmarked feedthepig. I checked it out a little; it seems more structured to those with extra disposal income and/or the ability to make investments, things like that. But I've already taken advantage of the credit card calculator thing on there. I think my goal is do-able!

Checked out Walk for Hunger as well. I think I'd have to work up to 20 miles! And unfortunately between New York in April, Toronto in June, and Stockbridge in August, I have zero money left in savings for a last minute trip to Boston! Which is too bad, because that would have accomplished one goal from No 64 (visit 3 cities I've never been). Buuuut, if you do it I'll definitely sponsor you! (which will also help with No 86 (donate to a charity 3x/year)!

DO IT DO IT DO IT.
