OMG I'M GOING TO NEW YORK FOR A WHIRLWIND CRAZY TWO AND A HALF DAY TRIP.
Okay, so a couple of days ago it hit me like a ton of bricks. I suddenly decided that I have to go to New York. I'm already missing one play (Edward II) that Randy is in, and I don't want to miss another (Antony & Cleopatra). I still cannot get over how amazing Cuckoo's Nest was. But even Randy is not enough to get me to spend a small fortune for ONE WEEKEND in New York. Gale? In a heartbeat. Randy, not so much.
But then, I heard that RENT is closing in June. I mean, if I don't go see it now, I won't EVER be able to see it on Broadway. So I started wavering.
Then I found out that Clay Aiken -- his voice is amazing, don't judge me ;) -- is appearing in Spamalot... but only until the beginning of May.
That did it.
So. I am taking the overnight bus omg from Southern Ontario to New York. It's a 12 hour bus ride and I actually tend to get motion sickness on buses. *gulp* I'll arrive the morning of April 11th. I've got a hotel booked for the 11th and 12th. And I've already purchased tickets for Rent, Spamalot, and Antony & Cleopatra.
I WILL BE SEEING THREE PLAYS IN THE SPAN OF 26 HOURS.
I AM SO EXCITED I CAN BARELY SIT STILL.
Aaaaand I am going to be having lunch on the 12th with shadownyc and some other fangirls. This excites me more than seeing Randy's play (but not as much as seeing Spamalot -- sorry girls!)
I can't believe how much I just charged to my credit card. But... eh. I've been saving up for a while. And what's money for if not to spend, right?
Off to bed now. WHEEEEE!
