2 More Sleeps 'Til Santa Arrives :D

This week has been crazed. More crazed than normal. The worst thing was that I got hog-tied into going as a volunteer on the "Drive To Niagara Falls in Rickety Bus with Obnoxious Driver, Eat Overpriced Food, and See Christmas Lights" tour with the nursing home. I agreed to this forgetting that I tend to get motion sickness, especially when the Rickety Bus is 8000 degrees. Wow, did I do a mad dash for the door as soon as we pulled up at the restaurant. Mom loved the trip though.

On the awesome side, many pressies from drivers... and customers! How cool. I felt very loved. I got chocolates, rum, scratch tickets, a Tim Hortons mug and TimCard, and... Absinthe. I will drink it and be like Randy, yo. I am preparing a disjointed fan letter written all in lowercase as we speak.

Meanwhile, I'm supremely proud of myself for attending every event, spending lots of time with mom, and getting everything accomplished that I needed to in the last week (well, I did forget to buy one present -- for Rufus the cat -- but I can totally pick that up at the closest Hasty Market) and with only one mini-breakdown. Hah. Take that, Christmas.

Many thanks to Debi for the postcard, Marisa for the postcard and card, and etharei for the card. They are brightening up my entertainment unit with much holiday cheer. Also, big thank yous to friday82 and flashfly for the fab virtual gifties on my User Page. You guys are all awesome. :)

NON-ELIMINATION!!!! Whooooo!!!!

This was especially exciting to me tonight because Kynt/Vyxsin and TK/Rachel are pretty much tied for my fave teams, and they were both fighting for last place, and we'd been told there were no NEL's this season, so... whew!. Both teams got some bad breaks and were plainly exhausted, and I'm so happy they're both going to be in it for another week.

Also, saw an ad for American Idol this week. It starts on January 15th. I should not be so excited about watching this dreck, but I am. :)
