Okay. So this is totally not working. So I went online today to check for painting tips when using red paints, and find a ton of stuff like "even professional painters say it is very difficult to get an even coat when using reds."
*shoots self*
Why why WHY would the guy in the paint store not TELL me this?
Anyway. So the plan is now to attempt a sponging technique with the remaining red. Hopefully that will make the wall somewhat speckly and hide the blotches and streaks. Another option is to then take the bit of barely-there-pink that I have left and overlay that on top of the red.

I did accomplish some good things today. Bought a really nice headboard and it only cost me $125. Also, my brother-in-law agreed to pick it up for me on Thursday, which saves me the $50 delivery charge. YAY! And also got one of those oval mirrors on a stand, which my nephew got for me *at cost* because he works at the store, so that cost me $18. I was a money-saving fool today, which is good because I will need that extra money for the 87 gallons of white paint I know I'm going to have to be putting on the red wall next week. :/
Tonight I want to write. Whether that actually happens is another story.
