Well, today was my mostly free day, and I had all these plans for things I was going to accomplish today, but of course I haven't gotten anything at all done.  I'm not motivated at all.  I suppose it's still early for me to be getting hard on myself for not being productive, but since when am I reasonable?  Anyway, to try to scrounge up some motivation, I'm going to make a list of things I need to do.

  • Clean room.  Once I clean my room then I can bring my record player from home, as well as get a pet rat.  Also, it would be much easier to entertain/have parties.
  • Do laundry, clean living room, other chores like that.
  • Write.  I want to write something for NaNoWriMo (and who isn't writing something, really), because it's a good influence to just sit down and write and not agonize over every little word, as I am prone to do.  I think I'm going to take a huge departure from the type of stuff I normally write and write a romance novel (you know, something fun that I'm likely to actually be able to finish in a month).  My name on the site is cricketchirp, if you're also a participant and want to friend me.
  • Craft stuff.  I just went to Joann's with my roommate since the beginning of this post and now, and I got red microspun yarn so I can start crocheting a wig for the December Sabbat (I need yarn hair, since I'm going as a Raggedy Ann-type doll).  I figure if I start now I have time to screw it up royally and then fix it.  But so far it isn't looking like I'm going to screw up too badly-- I found a pretty easy pattern online.  I also got some stuff to make birthday cards for my grandma-- she's such a cheapskate that she refuses to buy birthday cards for people because they're "too expensive."  So I'm making her a bunch for Christmas that she can use throughout the year.
  • My independent study.  I am so far behind on this, and I need a rough questionnaire I can give my mother to see if it works this weekend.
Now that I have my yarn and I'm doing something, I feel much more accomplished.  And I have Oreos, and Queer as Folk, so I can feed my fat ass whilst sitting upon it and watching hot boys make out.  (Speaking of asses, I am slightly worried that mine is getting bigger.  Don't worry, I am not about to start some crazy diet, I know I am skinny.  But I am not able to fit into some of my pants so well, so if anybody knows of any butt-toning exercises I can do at home [not at a gym], let me know.)
