I'm quite pleased to see SS/LE (Severus Snape & Lily Evans) stories becoming increasingly popular, with some really rather good
The LiveJournal Community
LESS for you (clever name, huh?), dedicated to the SS/LE ship, is
hosting an exchange. One hopes that it will becomes as popular as the SS/HG exchange.
In terms of decent stories,
The Wrath of the Half Blood Prince is certainly the current best, I believe. An interesting writing style which - surprisingly successfully - draws one into the mind of an adolescent Severus Snape, and is quite the action/adventure story. Final battle included.
I'm also keeping my eye on
Rewriting the Song, which despite its title is no song-fic. Nicely written, interesting plot (Disclaimer: A Severus Snape "makeover" story; better than I expected it to be). I'm also keeping an eye on
Ananke, because it's well written and could end up quite well.
A nod should be given to
The Moment it Began for being the first "epic" SS/LE, though I'm not the biggest fan of how the author handled Snape (it's a time travel fic, sort of).
