A friend of mine was explaining "crush maintenance" to me last week, which is typically employed by women. It's where someone knows that someone else likes them, but the feeling isn't necessarily mutual, yet they enjoy the attention. What the one being crushed upon does is every so often showing some interest into the "crusher" so as to retain the positive interest from the other party.
I think the definition for this practice should be spelled out "f-u-c-k-e-d" and never be implemented again.
Whether I'm being suckered by this practice or not, I'm not as happy as I should be today. Life gives me lemons, I'll trade them in for limes, cut them into nice little slices, jamming them into my mouth after each shot of tequila.
