It makes me sad to think that so many of us are reduced to sitting in front of a computer for so long each day. yet here i sit, awaiting human contact in the form of a machine.
And it also makes me sad to think that people are so weak. That we have to rely on medicane to keep us going...just to extend our lives. Many of our lives don't even mean that much to the broad scheme of the world. Yet we scratch on day to day with nothing but pills and sarcasm to fuel us, all the way up to when we are in our 100's. Maybe we just weren't meant to live this long if it meant living on a liquid diet and not being able to make it to the bathroom in time. Watching my mother deteriorate is making me think all this, btw. Don't just think that I'm morbid.
