Working my way past the many lab coats I had made into my lab in one piece. Those incompetent imbeciles! Letting that strain of virus just out in our lab. I of course had a magical protection around me but a few weren't so lucky when the disease first broke out. Black pustuals and all. It was actually kind of interesting. I stepped over a woman having a seizure and opened my door closing it behind me and locking it. Can't have that damn virus in my office. I looked out at the various people helping the others, the tainted ones and then closed the blinds. It would be easier to do work that way without people coming in and out. Or even asking for my help.
The night before I had finished that stack of forty papers at about 1 in the morning and finally heading home. Today, when I come in to a new broken out disease and more paper work my mood is in serious jeapordy for that day. I grabbed the top paper, just a signature needed, and used my blood pen, a most burdening necessity at evil law firms and moved on. After going through a few demonic chemical research grants and even an archeological dig to try and find some strain of an unknown virus that could "devestate our enemies" a knock came at my door.
"I'm sorry, but my office is closed to people who actually need my help because I am busy. But you can leave a message at the beep." I said as I grabbed another stack of papers ready to go through them. But as I started to sift I realized my door handle was turning and the door was opening. "Ok, whatever intern got a hold of my fucking..." My words trailed off as a beautiful petite girl stuck her head in my office...screw nosy interns. Hell, I will!
She had shoulder length auburn hair and was wearing this tight red suit. Her lips were dashed with a but of lipstick and her hands, nails unpainted held a file. She was stunning, and enough to get a guy's blood pumping...away from the brain which really wasn't something I needed at this point in my day, what with my mountain of paperork but she?...was worth it. So God damn worth it.
"I am so sorry." I lowered my tone and moved closer, closing the door behind this brown haired vixen. "Uh, what can I do for you?" She was beautiful. And she was holding a file. An assignment, for me? But interns don't give out assignments. And then it hit me. She? Was my superior or one of my many superiors, for all I knew she could've been a senior partner, or a disciple of. Oh fuck. "But, really. I am sorry. What do you need?" I asked sort of nicer, as nicer as I could get on a day like today.
First a disease breakout, then a stack of paperwork and now a higher up handing me more work. They'll be lucky if I come back from my lunch break at all.
