Of course duty always got in the way of any sort of life I wanted to have. Even though I never liked Buffy much part of me could understand her at times now. Never had this sort of power before so didn’t understand the responsibility that came along with it. I wanted to just be able to spend the night with Willow. Just talking to her and being with her but I couldn’t. Nice thing about setting up camp in the same location is you start to make friends with those around you. Got a few of those myself, mainly some people that we saved along the way. Well I guess I was starting to get my own little group in a sense. A few of them would call me or text me when they heard someone in trouble or saw something. It felt nice having people watch out and help you. Buffy sure was lucky with the type of support system she had when she was the one and only slayer.

Of course I have Willow which is support system enough for me. I wouldn’t want it any other way. She may not see it all the time but she means the world to me. I don’t really think I would’ve lasted as long with out her. She give me my strength and calls me out when I need it.

She was my way and still is my way. I’ll have it no other way.

I started to make my rounds around the area till I finally bumped into what the message must have been about. Ugly vampire this on was. Didn’t take that long to kill him either. I could never get too used to this slayer power I had now.

“That was easy enough” I say to myself. Time to get back to my goddess. I can’t help but smile when I think about her and everything that she is. I still couldn’t get over that day, seeing her there after that spell the way her hair changed. She was so powerful that day and still is.

I head back towards our hotel only to see her running out and into the car. First instinct I think that there is something wrong and as quick as I can run towards her. Should’ve known better that if there was something she could handle herself. The whole with her being powerful thing. She didn’t need me for protection.

“Willow!” I shout “What’s going on?” I make my way up to the car.
