Which side are you on?

I have repeatedly said (although perhaps not on here) that the people on my line are all insane or on drugs or something. Frequently I do not understand what is going on and yet it somehow all works and usually works well. Long ago I resolved to never question it and just trundle off where they told me to. Someone else can keep an eye on the big ( Read more... )

hrmmm, strike, easter eggs, irony - i duz it, weirdness

Sounds like one of the tunnels goes into a parallel dimension, hope you get out of it ok...

Oh dear, what a mess!

If it was me I would gently insist that I was not striking, but was on leave. Nobody told me that I should not be on leave. Furthermore, the reason that I was on leave was because there was no transport to get me to work.

So, was I on leave because LUL had failed to tell me it had not been approved, or was I not at work because LUL had failed to provide a taxi so I could attend work? Either way it's their fault. :-)

Yup, that's what I'm doing. The main problem is that I think the manager who authorised it is going to get it in the neck which I don't want to happen. I'm pretty sure if he'd remembered to put it through in November then it would have been fine. There's been a big stirabout with management roles in LU and he's in a role where he's currently inundated with work so if he forgot something like that then I'd not be surprised.

Union rep's plan is to tell SAP I was on a rest day then and put my rest day for the week down as annual leave. That *should* sort things out but who knows.

So you could have been striking, truanting, holidaying or resting? Wow!

Sounds like rest day is a good idea... I hope the manager learns from this though, and realises you've been nice.

Gosh, nothing's ever simple. Dare I ask if you're working on NYE?

The poor sod really is inundated and seemed to feel really bad telling me about this problem. He's taken on so much with this new job, I really can't blame him if he forgot.

Weirdly, I am not working NYE although I am working NYD. At least I'll escape most of The Horror. :-)

One of the tunnels? Oh, I forgot, you haven't been reading this blog long, have you? We would never be so inefficient as to divert merely ONE tunnel into a parallel dimension. If we did that we could only run one reality down it at a time. Where there is an up there must be a down (and a sideways). :-D
