HOLY OLYMPIC TRIALS, THERE ARE BLACK PEOPLE IN EUGENE!
That's right. Black people. I decided to go on a bike ride last night since I was really frustrated with my classes (just that I have too much to do and no free time and it's all academic and not creative) because it was so beautiful out. I biked around Amazon Parkway and saw so many people out enjoying the sun, it was extremely satisfying. Then I headed over to the river and on the way passed through campus, but the roads were all blocked and the Eugene security people and police men and such ACTUALLY HAD SOMETHING TO DO so they were patrolling all serious business. The whole town seemed to be buzzing. It's a good thing I didn't get tickets, since I'm moving this weekend. But I digress. When I was at Sundance, I saw a black man, and I swear to god I go to Sundance probably 3 times per week on average, and I had never seen a black person there, I am 99% sure. I knew Eugene was white, but I didn't realize how white until I saw some black people and thought 'oh you're right, this is weird'.
Excuse my last entry, I don't know what was up with me and the internet last night. It was a weird regression into high school livejournal nostalgia, I think.
