Oh the vids I have vidded

Decided to take a look back and see how many vids I have actually made since I started in that medium.

In the past, I believe...three years I have made 17 vids.

My very first vid was for The Doctor Who TV Movie. I really don't like going back to that one. I think as a first vid goes, and having done it without even glancing at any sort of instructions for Wiindows Movie Maker, it's not too bad. The song was Sarah Brightman's "It's a Beautiful Day" and no, you don't get to see it. Unless you're one of the unfortunate few that downloaded it back in the day.

Stargate SG1: 7
"Breaking the Habit" by Linkin Park (Daniel Centric, gen)
"Story of a Girl" by Nine Days (Sam Centric, gen)
"Tutankhamen" by Nightwish (Stargate movie, gen)
"Don't Fear the Reaper" by HIM (Team, lotsa death)
"Iris" by The GooGoo Dolls (Jack/Daniel, Meridian thru Homecoming) scroll down for d/l
"Growing on Me" by The Darkness (Jack/Daniel) one of my more stupid vids, but not as stupid as the one I have deleted all together MWAHHAHA
"Criminal" by Fiona Apple (Vala centric with Daniel/Vala)

Doctor Who: 4
"It's a Beautiful Day" by Sarah Brightman (Eighth Doctor)
"You're My Best Friend" by Queen (Three/Brig)
"Dark Shines" by Muse. (episode centric, "Utopia")
"House of Wolves" by My Chemical Romance (Ten/Simm!Master)

Firefly: 2
"Trigger Happy Jack" by Poe (Jayne centric)
"Cells" by The Servant (Serenity, gen)

Life on Mars: 3
"Dream On" by Aerosmith (Sam, gen)
"This Town's Religion" by The Delays (gentastic)
"Dance with the Devil" by Cozy Powell. Overall series. Het and Slash.

One-offs
Andromeda: "Blue Monday" by Orgy (episode centric, "Day of Judgement, Day of Wrath") shutthefuckup
Bleak House (2005): "Beautiful Things" by Andain (gen)
Hustle: "Opportunities (Let's Make Lots of Money)" by Petshop Boys (Grifter Family luuurve)
Sapphire & Steel: "House of Leaves" by Poe (uhm...gen, sorta, 'cept all that shippy stuff thrown in near the end, but technically it's gen anyway b/c v.v. canon)
Hot Fuzz: "Wow" by Snow Patrol (Nicholas/Danny)
Dark Shadows: "John the Revelator" (Mmm...Trask)
Chuck: "Brianstorm" by Arctic Monkeys (Gen)
Iron Man: "Everything is Automatic" by Matthew Good Band (Gen)
Strangers with Candy: "That's All" by Genesis (Chuck/Geoffrey)
Apparitions: "Solemn Hour" by Within Temptation (Gen)

Collaborations
Interview with the Vampire: "Bring Me to Life" by Evanescense. (mostly gen with a few gay bits). Made this with jenavira, which I believe was actually me sitting on her bed with the lyrics and making notations of which scenes/clips should go where, while Jen actually did the editing. I didn't have a computer of my own with a video editor back in them days, I believe.

Well, I can definitely say my vidding skills have improved with practice. I have moved well away from Windows Movie Maker, and now cuss at Adobe Premeire Pro when it freezes and crashes on me. The majority of my vids are obviously Gen, surprising when you consider what a rabid shipper/slasher I am. Not so surprising given my taste in music doesn't bend towards romantic-type music, and that I am quite embittered toward 'ship vids. Too many with cheesy-ass songs, and limited range of usable clips (I think the Daniel/Vala "Can You Feel the Love Tonight?" vid made me puke so hard I'm too scared to watch another pairing vid again).

The vids of mine I like the most:
"Cells" for Serenity
"Iris" and "Criminal" for SG1
"Beautiful Things" for Bleak House
and "Opportunities" for Hustle (though right now it's my absolute fave)

What do you think?
