The Birthday weekend comes to a close
There was jenavira for several days, and cruelest_month for a couple. Jen brought two seasons of Hustle with her, so now I have one more Biritish show to squee to obssess over. yeyz! My heart fully belongs to the character of Ash. For he mysteriously walks in with melons (see icon), plays with syringes, and can build a horse betting place in three days. But I do also love everyone. They show really hinges on the great ensemble chemistry.
There were a couple of complete failures of moving watching. Friday I rented Kingdom of Heaven bored the tears out of me. So when Rob called to see if we were available to hang out, I gladly stopped the film and then after leaving it and watching Withnail and I I had no motivation to finish. Then Jen and I thought April would enjoy 24 hour Party people. We were wrong. So that was another movie abandoned.
Sunday (my actual b-day) I finally got to take my car out of Beloit. Went to Tomorrow is Yesterday to cash in on my brithday discount, then on to Cherryvale mall to buy stuff at Hot Topic. So there I got another PotC shirt and leather and buckles wrist strap.
As for the birthday haul: from me mum the DVDs of Longitude
the brother: Seasons 1-6 of Red Dwarf on DVD. OKay so technically he boguht series 5 and 6 specifically for the birthday, but decided to give over the entire set. wow. Major *heart* to him.
From the lovely Jen I got a VHS on the Pertrwee years of DW, and glorious used non-fiction book on vampires (with Edward Gorey cover, bless). So that'll be fun.
From the sister: a phone call.
So tomorrow is back to work. humdeedum. Also, should get back to work on the sequel to my LoM fic.
