LOL I could see this totally happening if it wound up they were twins. And I love the presents Herbert and Crawford got for each other. I hope you write more about the three of them. :D

Yay! Comment! Oh man, I think actually trying to present the back-story in such a way that's more than just an exposition dump is what keeps me from writing it. At the same time, I hope this is still readable without it. I think maybe Herbert's paranoia that Dan wants to sleep with Crawford seems random, but it def is a constant theme in the universe I'm creating.

I do so hope to write more. I am definitely being pleasantly encouraged.

I can't figure out how to comment so I'm going to reply here. :) I love the "Did you just forcibly accessorize me?" line. I must find a use for it. I certainly hope for more 'Bro-verse' fics. I personally prefer it without the backstory. I like being thown into the middle of the action. :D

You can comment by clicking on the "*tick* *tick* *tick*"!

I do like the notion of just writing random hi-jinks for this 'verse. But, I think I'd still like to get the backstory down, even if it's for my own sense of continuity. But I'll understand if you don't end up reading it. XD

AHAHAHAH, "Did you just forcibly accessorize me?" BEAUTIFUL. So many golden lines in this story. I love the sitcom-i-ness of it, Herbert shouting "Don't fuck him!" after Dan while looking worried, Crawford giving Herbert a nice tie clip, Herbert giving Crawford a morbid doodle (I like that, Noodle Incident-style, you don't tell us exactly what it was), Dan needing wine to get through it all, Herbert ordering the most expensive thing and generally being a total dick, Crawford calling his "jealous snits" for what they are, Dan being bad at gift-wrapping... Perfect. PERFECT. So much giggling from me. :DDDD

Am so glad the sitcom-ness worked. I think I had originally thought of this 'verse in more serious terms with at least the sort of comedy that already exists in Re-Animator. But then it's gone kinda hijinks and punchy one-liners!

Yay, other people actually found it humorous and good. And hope it still makes some amount of sense without the establishing story...

TEEHEE. Bro-verse. <3

I loved everything about this--perhaps too much so. I'd love to see more Crawford/Herbert interactions...especially since they do seem to be quite similar (and opposite) of each other, which makes for very good ficlage.
