Tonight, the Summer movie season ends for me

For I am seeing Conan the Barbarian and.... I have no idea what movies are coming out now except Sherlock Holmes: Game of Shadows in like December.

Saw Fright Night on Saturday with jenavira. I enjoyed it. Had some fun, David Tennant was fucking hilarious and sexy. Colin Ferrell was actually pretty amusing too, and Anton Yelchin was adorbs. I'm not someone who has a long history with the original. I only saw it for the first time a couple months ago. There are definitely some things I think the original did better, but there are also things I think the remake did better (esp. Evil Ed. I'm sorry. The original? Fucking annoying as shit. I watched a review where someone was complaining that the new Ed was more annoying, and I'm like "the shit?"). I'm glad that it didn't have the unnecessary thing about Amy looking like Jerry's dead girlfriend, because I am so sick of that cliche vampire plot. Damn you Dark Shadows for creating it! *shakes fist*

Peter Vincent is an exceptionally different creature, but that's rather necessary to just the time we live in. To like try to compare: apples and oranges. It's basically only the same character in name only. And Roddy McDowell is awesome. I love him the original movies. 'cuz he's the man. But I also loved the leather-clad, foul-mouther, sex-beast Tenant was (in the same review mentioned above, she thought it was David Tennant trying to be Russell Brand, and the movie would've been better just having Russell Brand. Since I despise Russell Brand, I disagree. With all of that).

Nothing spectacular. But then I went into it with only the expectation of being mildly entertained and possibly massively turned-on by David Tennant trying to hit on Ensign Jailbait. And am very happy, even though you can barely see it, that Peter does in fact kiss Charlie. Aaaand expectations achieved.

Conan apparently is nothing but gore, boobs, and Jason Mamoa being shirtless. So again, as long as I'm at least mildly entertained, It'll be good.
