4th of July Weekend
Spent the weekend at cruelest_month's. It was ungodly hot. Played lots of nostalgic arcades. Tried our hands at the TRON arcade.... yeah, that did not go well at all. WTF were those controls!? Ah well, always knew I'd suck at Light Cycles. And omg! The X-Men arcade! "Welcome to Die!" BWAHAHAHAHAHA And oh man, Super Off Road! Favorite racing game. Always played it when I was wee, both at the bowling alley and at the roller rink.
Had good times just wandering about, eating-out, buying crappy horror movies. And the Universe seemed to know that this was nothing but a nostalgia weekend at every store we entered was playing 80s music.
Lots of animals at April's house now. Very excitable puppy. The cats are clearly unamused. But my faves are still Emerson the fluffy monster cat and Clu who is like a furry marshmallow.
Totally spent though by the time I got home. Napped and had a horrific headache.
Am currently celebrating America's independence from Britain as I do every year: watching lots of British telly.
Now must wait for all the bangs to stop.
