Well, it was bound to happen
Got harassed today due to my bumper stickers. Namely my "Jesus was a Liberal" one.
So there I was just fishing through my purse, window down, to put money in for the automatic carwash when a guy comes up. I first I thought it was the carwash attendant, but what he said was:
"You really think Jesus believed in abortion and gay rights?!"
"Gay rights, definitely," said I.
"Sodom and Gomorrah!"
"Funny, I don't remember Jesus being there for that."
He starts to walk away (I realize in a moment is because the car wash attendant has just come out of the office), and calls back "Clearly you don't read the bible!"
"I sure do! And I'm not the one who thinks Jesus was at Sodom and Gomorrah."
The attendant comes up to my window. "You know that guy?"
"Nope," I smile, "Just someone who took exception to my bumper stickers."
"You probably are gay!" The man says in the distance, getting back in his truck.
*sigh*
You know, that's the thing about Conservatives. They're just such jerks about everything.
And I was having such a nice day, too. :( I suppose it had to happen to balance out all the happy Liberal chat time I had at Curves this morning.
