Title: A Matter of Perspective Fandom: Sherlock Pairing: None! Gen! Rating: PG (swears) Word Count: 547 Summary: John Watson vs. a vending machine.... and Sgt. Sally Donovan.
Ahahaha I loved that. Ah, Sally. She's so wonderful and yet so paranoid, suspicious, and sick of Sherlock Holmes. <3 And I loved that last bit when Sherlock came in. You really have their characters down, I think.
PS - I'd be glad to beta your fic if no one else volunteers. :)
I'd like to think I have these characters down, no matter what their incarnation ;) Am happy you enjoyed it. Sherlock did end up stealing the show as always.
I'm going to go over my fic one more time today and then e-mail it to you. And no rush on it once I do, k?
In all fairness, the Holmes/Watson relationship has always been baffling. Sherlock is such an ass and does seem to have such a low tolerance for people why does he care for Watson so much?
In reality of course it's TRUEST OF TRUE LOVE, but that wasn't the point I was trying to get across this time.
Well, yes. It is TRUE LOVE OMG, but it is not expressed in the customarily socially accepted manner. (And if it were, I'd be...very afraid.) I love their love, even if especially because Holmes is such an ass and Watson doesn't seem to care.
And sleeping with Anderson is a slight upgrade from fucking a flea-bitten weasel. John smiled at this thought, and Sally smiled back thinking he was taking amusement in her little analogy. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- This line is golden. Heehee! And I can totally see John stuffing his face with snacks...interestingly, as can be observed from photos, TV appearances & other evidence regarding their lives, Martin is a steady snacker. Thank God he's lost so much weight now~but it's just so cute to always see him as John eating, while Sherlock smile and watch. Very convincing. Very canon to all the Sherlock stories too.
Watson's need to feed is only really thrown into sharp relief because of Sherlock's lack. Again, I still think about the Granada series which was occasionally very overt and that matter (my fave being in "The Priory School"), where as in Sherlock it's slightly more subtle.

(I'd beta, but I'm kind of a mess right now, I can't guarantee I'd get it back to you in any decent amount of time.)
