And now, for Top Five Meme Pt. 1

From wishfulaces: Top 5 Illya moments (with or without Napoleon).

5. Punching Napoleon in the face (The Foxes and the Hounds Affair)
For it is lulz, and you know what? He probably had it coming anyway...

4. Paying a barber not to cut his hair (The Very Important Zombie Affair)
One of the earliest signs of this show's self-awareness and edging on meta: Illya's hair is sacred and none shall touch it.

3. Communist Rhetoric (The Love Affair)
As ballsy as it was to have a Russian hero in spy series in the 60s, they got away with it because Illya seems to embrace the decadent West quite quickly. But there are a couple occasions where we are reminded of his upbringing....

Napoleon: Pretty expensive party, I'd say.
Illya: Suddenly I feel very Russian
Napoleon: That's just your proletariat blood.
Illya: Well, there's no difference between those people and me.
Napoleon: Depends on whether your speaking physically, financially, or psychologically.
Illya: And what makes you so superior? You don't rate exactly yourself with Dun & Bradstreet.
Napoleon: Yes, but I have that elegant air of decadence.
[moment of important spy talk]
Illya: Well, let's not keep the blue-bloods waiting.
Napoleon: Alright, it I'm not out in half an hour start a revolution.
Illya: That would be a pleasure.

2. Shameless, overt flirting (The Cherry Blossom Affair)
In a show filled with shameless, overt flirting between our top agents, this really takes the cake.

1. Escaping from meathook by an act of acrobatics (The Deadly Toys Affair)
Never. Gets. Old.
