I have a soft spot for Ten and Yana, which gets so rarely written, and this is a great take on their interaction!

I've drifted so far away from Who fandom and keeping up with what fic is being written, I didn't know there was such a need! Though I suppose writing for a character who existed for less than one episode, it's not quite as motivating to write for than some of the Doctor's other relationships.

So I am glad to have been able to provide with a little bit of it, and that you liked it.

Oh, so very nice. One of the things I love about "Utopia" is the easiness between Yana and the Doctor, that you have that feeling they've known each other forever. Ten becomes less frantic, more calm and almost happy, as if he's found something he was missing.

And, oh, how I wished they'd had Yana for more than episode...

Thank you for commenting! I think what I love about "Utopia" is this notion (one also gets from the Big Finish audio "Master"), that without his memories and their baggage, what we see in the Doctor/Yana relationship is what the Doctor's and the Master's own friendship was like before things went FUBAR between them.

It's beautiful and heartbreaking, all the more heartbreaking with Jacobi's performance.
