Everything's better with friends
Including TV. There's something that allows for even more joy when sharing even that with friends. So I was finally strong-armed into watching Criminal Minds, and I gave the ladies a taste of The Professionals. And it was great! Even though I've been through the Pros all the way through once on my own, watching certain eps over and watching it with friends just made it so much better. Just as simple as getting different perspectives and inputs, and support of trends or notions I've already been dwelling on. Like say....how cute and slashy the assassin duo from "Mixed Doubles" is! I'm not entirely sure if anyone else in the fandom has really grabbed onto that or nor, but we watched it and the flat was alight with "N'aw! Assassin snuggles!" Or the awesome of srsly minor character "West Indies Lady" from the episode "Hunter/Hunted" (i think?) and how she should've been not only in all episodes of The Pros but in other TV series, just walking by telling ppl to mind their own business.
Ah, and now I shall finally open my e-mail I sent to myself last night, and see if cruelest_month's wine-induced improvised lyrics to the Professionals theme are still intensely funny.

okay, maybe not quite intensely funny, but still rather giggle-inducing.
So all in all, a very good if cold weekend. Whee! Although we are rather ashamedly such girls at times.
Also, I've noticed Jen still hasn't commented on my fic. She is lame.
