The season premiere was really good. I LOVE it.
But these past two episodes rather pissed me off.
Too much focus on the Chuck/Sarah relationship. Honestly, please, can we have an episode without this stupid angst? And didn't we have a "I know we can never be together for realz so I'm going to move on" revelation last season? I guess. I just. I wish it wasn't a part of the show. Because otherwise I really like Chuck. If they just didn't go into this show going "Okay, we need gooey romantic plot, but we can't resolve it any real way or else we can't have other seasons, so we'll just rehash things and have no real character/emotional development."
And really, it makes me not like Sarah, unfortunately. Because she sucks. Worst. Spy. Ever. Okay yeah so she's "hot" and has some sexy bad-ass moves, but really, she gets too sniffly and emotional all the time. I think it should be a bigger deal for us to see more of the "real" Sarah because as a spy we and Chuck wouldn't, the way that "Chuck vs the Undercover Lover" was with Casey. But she goes all doe-eyed every episode, and it grates.
Thank you television for once again reducing a main female character into nothing but the weepy love-interest. Giving her a gun doesn't automatically make her the "Strong female character" every show claims to have nowadays.
Oh. Oh. Oh! And both last episode and this episode had third-party characters tell Chuck and Sarah how they can "tell" how in love they are. If Nicole Richie does it next week, I may shoot someone.
glah.
When do we get our
Man!Kiss?
And in conclusion: Sarah < Everyone.
