For those who are not members of lifein1973, I am also posting it here now for posterity. General reactions from the comm is that it's a funny and creepy/dark/freaky. I am pleased. I wish everything I write was like that. *throttles Eight/Jacobi!Master fic that is now about to enter a third rewrite*

Yay! I told you then and I'm telling you now: I LOVE LOVE LOVE this fic, and I'm so flattered that you wrote it for me!!! :)

My prompt was not particularly interesting, but you exploited it perfectly (even guessing my kink for Sam/mobile OTP, lol!) and the result is marvellous. From a great writer like you I couldn't expect any less. I've read it and re-read it a dozen times, and each time I realise this is exactly what I wanted, and even more.

I've always loved the pairing Sam/Maya (even wrote my fic for the Ficathon on them: http://space-oddity-75.livejournal.com/9876.html#cutid1 , although in my case their relationship is shown after 2.08) and you've described these characters *exactly* as I imagined them. And even better, you've managed to squeeze both humour and seriousness in the same story, which is what I like the most in LoM.
