By now, I would think you'd be used to everyone here occupying their time with one another's business. But, you don't think that there may be a plausible explanation?
Mary, I hate to be the one to break this to you, but while you're neither little nor immature, you are still very young. It's well within the rights of those who care about you to protect you from those who would mean you harm.
[private ;; unhackable] That said, has Father Conrad been bothering you any more?
I want to see what's best for you. Are you skeptical of that? [LOADED QUESTION ALERT]
[private ;; unhackable] It doesn't matter if he's kind or not, he's a man possessed, Mary, it's not safe... next time he bothers you, come and find me, alright?
[private ;; unhackable] Then let him get help from someone who can exorcise the demon from him. Do you know any refugees that double as exorcists? He was the only priest I knew of.
I'm being completely honest. You know exactly what I mean, it's difficult to confide or trust in anyone that wants to help, when someone you know that's over-protective isn't exactly all there. I don't mean to upset you.
[Private; unhackable] This is what makes this an even more paradoxical situation in that he is one. He promised to help me with my father.
[private ;; unhackable] A shred of humanity is enough to mean he can be saved, but it's not enough to mean it's safe for you to be around him until that time comes.

...Mary, listen, I-- [lips tighten, wants to tell her about accosting Conrad, wants to tell her it was him harassing Joker, but... no, definitely not.]

But anyone who wants to see what's "best" for me makes me a little skeptical now.

... He seems to be, yeah. But he's been rather kind about it. It doesn't help when others want to hurt him.

I will, I promise.
But he still needs help, he can't be left like that.

He can't be of much help until he can solve his own problems.

I want to believe in the good of this man, despite whatever fears I have. If he's got a shred of humanity, so does my father.

Well, just to let you know, he came to me. I don't seek him out, unless it's via the network.
But I trust you more than anyone in regards to you words.

...I just want you to be safe.

If father ever comes here too, I'll let you know, too.
Please don't worry so much about me, Bruce. I don't want to upset you.
