3 weeks into school.. or is it four?
have been really busy with, i dont know what these days. i really want to post about the korea/hk trip but everytime i open photobucket it hangs and also, i need val's pics! wahhh i really miss the food over there. i dont know why but food (ANY KIND) seems to taste 10000 billion times more delicious than singapore's. I totally lost any appetite for prata (k i dont even fancy those), chicken rice or fishball noodles (which happens to be my favourite). maybe it was because i was constantly freezing and walking = hunger = any food = ^^

붕어빵 Bungeoppang
Taiyaki that is usually filled with sweet red bean paste and then baked in a fish-shaped mold. It is very chewy on the inside and crispy on the outside.(from wiki)
OMG I LOVE THIS...... everytime we see any stall selling we would DEF GET SOME. usually 3 for $1 (1000 won)
really like how wiki described. imagine eating this on a freezing 16deg day wahhhhhhhh

호빵 Hobbang
err i dont think this is the one i ate. anyways it looks abit like this, and the inside is filled with red bean (again). the outside is crispy and dusted with sugar, loads of it. i only ate this because i was about to faint from hunger when i woke up on the 2nd day in Busan. I think i was feeling cold all over then val and i rushed down to the street to get some fish pancake but the aunty was still making them so i just pointed to any available food on the rack. i think they were 3 for 1000 won too.

파전 Pajeon
This is a kinda pancake. ITS ALSO FRIGGIN NICE, although it has green onions i still ate all up.
Lol ok i lied, sometimes i took the green onions out first

french fry hotdog! the koreans love their sausages they sell it everywhere
i didnt try this but tock and sher did. i thought it tasted normal - like french fry with hotdog
there was this stick of sausages i tried.... (sorry no pictures because when we eat, we REALLY EAT hahahaha), wahhh its so good. they look exactly like taiwanese sausages so i was quite skeptical of trying at first. buttttt it didnt have the strong awful taste the taiwanese sausages have. and there;s mustard in korea too! yay!

JJAJANGMYUN
WANTS MORE OF THIS PLEASE
jjm jjm jjm jjm jjm jjm jjm jjm jjm jjm jjm
though i hate onions the ones at coex totally didnt have the onion taste at all
we had the seafood + normal one at coex and later at some shop in Busan.
the one in Busan was not as good as the one at Coex though

naengmyeon
Cold buckwheat noodles
errr i dont really fancy this dish because the bowl was filled with ice ice and more ice so by the time you finish this... brainfreeze
we had this in uhh balsan? some place near sbs i think. we were so tired after walking ard (after inkigayo) so we just went into any shop.

seolleongtang
from wiki: ox leg bone soup simmered for more than 10 hours until the soup is milky-white. Usually served in a bowl containing dangmyeon and pieces of beef. Sliced scallions and black pepper are used as condiments.

of course i took out all the scallions before eating
i dont know how to describe how good this was.. i ate this on the 2nd morning when val and i were staying at love kara motel. we just randomly went in any shop and ordered breakfast.
the soup is better than the best milky fish soup in singapore and the rice is better than the 3bucks premium rice in rakusen and the kimchi is... just like any other kimchi. i dont even like kimchi, sorry but its sour and i only like sweet/salty/spicy things

it cost around 3500 won - approx S$4

samyetang - ginseng chicken soup
i had this twice in seoul, the first one was in hongdae - we were tired from walking around looking for M2. anyway the chicken came with hot porridge wahhhhhhhhhh
and the second one was in i-cant-remember-where but it cost me 12 000 won. walao damn exp i think i got ripped off but nvm

drinks we had in korea

Cass beer. 1 big bottle for around S$4
err i cant remember if we drank cass but when we were in dd club (HAH), we drank the free beer they gave
& also some beer tock bought at noraebang

also cant remember if this was the soju tock bought!!
my throat was really really bad so i kinda avoided any alcohol and spicy stuff  ))))):
the alcohol percentage is really high (19.1%) and the soju was so cheap thats why there were alot of drunks around (anywhere)
sometimes we could even smell the alcohol breath in subways or on the streets.

ok i ripped this (and all the other pictures) from the web. HAHAHHA
anyway the one on the left is the drink that saved our throats.
WOONGJIN HONEY & RED GINSENG - 1300 won
and also, drinking this warm on a cold night - ^^

AND HOW CAN I MISS OUR OUR ALL TIME FAVOURITE?
BANANANANANANANNANNANANANANA MILKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKK
MISS THIS SO MUCH! why do they NOT import nice korean food back here!!
1000 won for one. THE NEXT TIME I'M BRINGING BACK A CARTON OF THIS

we also ate some other stuff  like krispy kreme, instant jjm, instant seafood ramyeon (damn good), codfish soup in Busan (damn sweet), kimchi jjigae, bulgogi, mussel soup, fishcake soup, FRIED SQUID OMGAH. will post pictures of the rest next time heh
and honestly, my description of all the food sucks, you just have to taste it yourself to find out how FAB they really are. as compared to hongkong and singapore..... well nth i tasted is close to what i've eaten there

next spring next spring next spring!
