Happy Halloween everyone.

I didn't realize so many people lived in this city. Everyone must all be outside at once.

[ooc; lol 4th wall/troll away! And for those who like action tags, she can be found watching the crowd around Building 3 until/unless someone tells her to stay indoors. ^^;]

curse: 4th wall weekend

[Luck wanders out to join Ennis in people-watching, eventually.]

...Not quite what I was expecting for the month's last gasp, I admit.

[When she notices Luck approaching, she takes a respectful step to the side to ensure that she's not blocking his way.]

I was expecting a number of people on the street in celebration of the holiday, but certainly not this number.

[He tucks his hands into his coat pockets, looking off into the crowd.]

I get the impression this is something that's happened several times before.

Do you mean during holidays, or just in general?

In general. Although I've heard a few people mention that it seems more likely to happen on a holiday.

This would be another type of 'curse' then, Mr. Gandor?

[He pauses to consider that, briefly.]

It seems odd to call it a curse. But I suppose it's something of that nature. It's as though the gates of the City have been temporarily opened.

You mean the people here today will not be able to stay long?

I couldn't say for sure. It's just the impression that I've gotten from others' comments on the Network.

I see... It is something like what some cultures would celebrate around this time of year--when the departed would return to spend time with their loved ones.

[The idea gives Luck pause for some reason, and he goes rather still. Just for an instant, however, and then it's gone, though he watches the crowd maybe a shade too carefully afterward.]

Perhaps that's the reason, then.

[She notices him focusing more upon the crowd, but doesn't mention it.]

Yes.
