on her knees is the key tone

she begs. pleas. kisses feet with thin lips. heed warning - swarming four leaves, caves drain onto shirtsleeves. horizon bleeds morning - legs multiply, nullify alarms. digging deep into rocky floor, born from sleepless grip, but remained. i estimated how tame, a dock slain from shore, a wooden island lost. muscle spasms pass, wince. wept for dead princes. null & void, slaying sharks - gnashing causes wounds to beg for gauze. cuttlebone hints at nets. dull toy soldiers knee deep in white sand. distant barks, sirens, crash landings, and lost causes. bullshit, noises bolded - sea swept sin, and… i pulled back with loose fingers & a sharp point. missed my mark, pushpins mashed deep into my cause & effect’s only wishes, to be driven swiftly, a line so perfectly molded North - drawing weakness, seeking a breathing hole.
