Quidditch Match the First - Gryffindor/Slytherin (Open to players and spectators)
The first Quidditch match of the season is always an exciting event -- made even more exciting by the fact it's usually between Gryffindor and Slytherin. The pitch was one of the few places where the deep seeded rivalry between the two came in handy.
Three hours in and the score was tied 60-80 (Slytherin lead) with the Quaffle currently in Gryffindor's possession. Thanks to a blagging foul called on one of the Slytherin chasers.
Not that Ceara could tell you much more about it than that -- her attention elsewhere as her eyes went from her brother to the surrounding airspace, looking for any sign of the snitch. All she had to do was catch that and this game was over, Slytherin's points would cease to matter and Gryffindor would secure their first of many victories.
And she had faith she could do it. After all, Pennyworth had told her she was one of the best flyers in school. That had to count for something, right? Right. Especially since playing seeker was all about...
Her thoughts were interrupted by something small and gold buzzing past her face and headed for the ground. Without a second thought, she followed it, hoping to get at least a few seconds head start on her brother. But last she saw him, he was on the other side of the field so...
Pushing her broom downwards, Ceara sped towards the ground, ever so swiftly gaining on the Snitch. Still a good fifteen feet from the ground, her attention was focused solely on the the small golden object in front of her. She was sure Regulus had caught up with her by now, but she didn't bother to look. Never took her eyes from the Snitch.
Which is how she didn't manage to see the bludger Orlene had hit in her direction until it was too late. As it slammed into her side, the distinct sound of rib bones snapping could be heard as the girl toppled from her broom and to the ground, hitting it with a thud.
