We are in a Tree in a bowl, wiped of our memories, dealing with giant ants and a floor that shifts dramatically, frequently.

I would say we are none of us sane.

Then that's one no.

A no for everyone, but still a no.

What brings this question to mind?

Cross, do you have a good answer for this one? I'm thinking a moment too much spent traveling the Elevator down here.

[Watch sensei ignore all that you've said.]

Have you met Spring, yet? Gai's kid, about your age now?

It is best not to take things for granted yes. I know so little. I will try to cherish things all the more!

[He's not really sure if he gets the point of this message. The question at the end is easy enough to comment on though, even it its not a real answer.]

Sounds like a good philosophy to me, most things considered.

A good man, yes, but -- a sane one?

That is [a pentap] not a question I am qualified to answer.

Considering who your dad is, no, probably not qualified.

I am not entirely certain he considers himself sane.

Neither are we, to be honest.

Nope.

But in case Boss Man is watching, I mean that only in the best, most respectful,'please don't turn me into a rat again' way. I love insane coworkers! It gives the workplace a nice homey touch.

He turned you into a rat?! I kept being turned into a turtle. Or a sea gull.

For one, you never feel like you don't matter.

Just that your species is up to debate.
