I think I appreciate this day of slacking off, and the next few days of slacking off much more due the fact that I worked around fifty hours last week, and a little over twenty the past two days. And speaking of the toy store nightmare (I know, I know, melodrama), I will say that amusing quirks of human psychology make the second day before Christmas as opposed to the immediate day before Christmas the busiest of the year, and less amusing quirks make people on said day really, really surly. Even my mild-mannered self lost patience towards the tenth hour, and I summarily told off the last batch of angry parents in a manner which is very much not in accordance with "proper" customer service. Good-bye, holiday cheer.

Open apology to all of those who I said I'd do stuff with, and havn't really had time to. Perhaps I'll have more free time when classes start back up again ;)
And I feel doubly guilty on account of not having the time/energy to cheer up what seem to be my many depressed friends, what with breakups and other general misery. Maybe it's partly the time of year - you're expected to be happy, so it's doubly worse when you're not?

On the other hand, I am neither particularly miserable nor particularly cheery, and I am also not sick, despite the fact that everyone else is, and my store is full of plague-children. Victory for my white blood cells.

And neither of the PS2s in my house are working (neither my own decrepit and long-dead machine, nor the other a friend left over here), so I can't play Final Fantasy X-2. Blast! Such a love-hate relationship with technology we have.

Regardless, I disgress. I hope everyone out there has a merry Christmas and enjoys the holidays to the utmost.
