Things have been busy for the past couple of days. Since Belle gave me this mission to keep an eye on Kefka, I've been up to my elbows in magic books, studying. And you know what? I think I like this, so much of this stuff is much more than runes and words and turning people into frogs. (Though I'm told that sheep are more popular than frogs) Kefka says that the "practical applications" won't begin until much later, until I have a solid grasp on all the theory and laws involved with magic.
Buuutt... I've sortta cheated. I've tried to light candles with magic today. Now the desk is covered in melted tallow wax, thank heavens its not paraffin. Oi, how am I going to get this off...?
Something about the Reality Principal has got me thinking, you know, about the paupo. I wonder if it's really possible for a fruit to be able to bind two people together for eternity? That would take some seriously powerful magic (or a curse, depending on the people, I guess) and Destiny Islands has no real knowledge in magic. Is it possible for nature to create such a magical item through natural processes, without the sculpting of sentient hands?
I'll worry about this later.
The cheesecake I made Sora went off without a hitch! Sora seemed a bit mortified at the idea of eating a cake made of cheese and chocolate, but I convinced him to try a piece. He brought me gifts, too, including this gorgeous ring that has some magical properties. While it's wonderful that he thinks of me like that, I can't help but want to make him stop. I don't need all these pretty things, I'm just as happy, if not more, that he comes back in one piece.
I'm very worried. Riku hasn't responded in LJ for a long time, it's not like him. If the last message he left was any indication, he seemed awful rushed and sloppy.
Riku, if you can read this, please answer. I'm so worried about you. I'll make you a cheesecake for you, too.
