Honestly, I don't know about this ship, and it's only been a week or so since I accepted the job. Except for that recovery mission into the wreckage, I've been working non-stop on trying to get the holes properly patched, plates bolted down, and all the battle-damage filled. The ship's keel is in awful shape, too; who knows how much longer it's really going to last?
The crew worries me a little, too, but what should I expect from pirates?
...well, I guess that's not completely true. I shouldn't say things like that without context. I've met a few people that seem nice. Dimo and Maxim seemed pretty cool, even if they had a little joke at my expense. Souji was friendly. And Anko, even if her boyfriend was a little hot-headed.
The captain's no ray of sunshine, though. I was grateful that she offered me this job, but once I realized how bad the damage was, she actually blamed me for not checking first. That's like saying 'you should've checked to see if the difference engine was going to explode before you bought it'.
Normally, I like a challenge. I really do, but I can't help but wonder if this is worth the effort. Maybe I should find another ship to work on.
