Berni and Naomi, Part Three
Last time I posted about them, Berni and Naomi had been married for a rotation, now had a toddler daughter, Marisa, and Naomi was pregnant with baby #2.
Marisa was almost fully trained at the beginning of this rotation (she only needed to be potty trained and she'd be set to grow up well).
The first day started with both Berni (Criminal career track) and Naomi (Law Enforcement career track) having to go to work, leaving poor Marisa with the very incompetent nanny.
Truly incompetent, as she managed to start a fire shortly after both Berni and Naomi had left for work. I was just thankful for the sprinkler - if she had died due to her own stupidity and made Marisa be taken away by the Social Worker, I'd probably ressurect her just to kill her again.
As Naomi returned home later in the day, she finally reached her 2nd trimester.
And then both parents went upstairs to dote on their daughter, making for some adorable pictures. :)
Now home on maternity leave, Naomi was sure to send the nanny home.
While Berni was promoted a couple of times.
Around this time (afternoon of the second day of the rotation), Naomi's aunt Marta (gen M spare, twin sister to Naomi's father Matías) dropped by. I had Berni greet her, as I'm trying to get him to be friends with as many of his wife's relatives as possible.
And thankfully, he's been proving to be a great husband - even with ACR and him having good chemistry with many of his female acquaintances and friends, he never once tried to cheat on his wife. The same goes to Naomi and the guys she has a fair amount of bolts for. I'm just happy with them, and hope they continue behaving like this during future rotations.
They were still very much in love and very clearly a 3-bolt couple, as the autonomous flirting can prove. :)
Marisa proved to be loved by distant relatives as well, as Marta quickly became friends with her young great-niece.
Poor Berni soon had to leave for work once again, as he had been promoted earlier that day. And this marks the first time he was actually dressed as a burglar.
Meanwhile, Naomi stayed home, looking after her daughter and working on her skills as well.
And she was greeted by a very enthusiastic Berni early in the morning, shortly after he returned home.
That same morning (3rd and last day of the rotation) Marisa finally became a child. I decided to keep her tomboyish look. It suits her well. :D And I did realize she got Naomi's nose and not Berni's - not as easy to notice on a toddler, but as soon as she became a child and I saw her profile, it became quite obvious.
Peach, who is a good friend of Berni's, also dropped by uninvited that morning, and had a great time pillowfighting with her friend.
Until he had to leave for work...yet again...at the exact same time Naomi went into labour. Well, at least she wasn't alone this time.
She gave birth to a second daughter, Giovanna Mobacy, with the same colouring as Marisa, except for the hair (Giovanna inherited great-grandma Error's brown hair).
SimPE has given her personality as Aquarius 3/8/7/8/7, which means the poor nice girl will probably be terrorized by her older sister as she gets older (Marisa is an Aries 7/9/9/3/1, so, not nice at all). She'll probably be the "good daughter", though, not only is she a lot nicer than her sister, she also rolled Popularity, and Marisa will become a Romance sim soon enough. I foresee a lot of white hairs for Berni and Naomi in the near future. :/
Peach seemed to be very happy with the birth of Giovanna as well - as soon as Naomi let go of her for a second, she immediately went to play with her. I guess she'll be a sort of aunt to these girls. :D
The rotation ended with Berni returning home by the end of the day, with Marisa running to greet him.
And afterwards, he went upstairs to meet his new daughter. So, everything is going pretty well in this household, I'd say. Sims who aren't included in the plot make for lucky and happy ones indeed. ;)
