i'm not to go to any sessions today. i looked at the ones i picked and decided that they aren't that interesting. the main ones i was gonna go to today were race and sports (slept through it) and one on internet something-or-other. i went to one on online communities yesterday (one of the speakers talked about livejournal and has a book coming out about the sociology of livejournal later this year, it was cool). anyway, tomorrow there's a few better sessions so i'll just go to them and call it a conference.

for anyone interested in knowing what kind of grades their teachers give (those of you at state, that is), check out this website if you haven't already: http://dss.gsu.edu/statware. click on the button for grade distribution (1920), and go from there. apparently, math is the hardest field, with an average GPA of 2.5. and applied linguistics seems to be the easiest with an average of 3.6 (only 7 F's out of 363 students). i checked all my professors for the fall and they've all got high B averages, graduation here i come.
