My birthdays are awesome
I've turned 27 today (er, yesterday, as it's two in the morning of the 31st of october right now) and this birthday was the coolest thing ever since the last one.
First, my friend Béa drew a beautiful and stylish fanart of Luka from Mytho for me and showed it to me at midnight. Then I woke up to a scrumptious Bond/Q fic written by berylia based on my infamous porn drawing (it's in French though sorry guys) and adorable birthday vows from everyone that warmed my heart to no end
Then I painted my nails with a new shade of nail polish; the flavour of this end of year is ~~***pine green***~~, very seasonal and festive:
At noon I was treated to lunch by my friend Franck at a delicious Japanese restaurant that serves delicious tantanmen (they're ramen noodles in a rich broth of sesame cream with spinach and spicy pork, IT TASTES EFFING INCREDIBLE) and tasty gyôza
And then he treated me (again) to wagashi and truly superb tea in a classy Japanese tea parlor:
That Japanese cake above was yôkan with pear and caramel: it was TO DIE FOR. Sweet and fragrant and fresh, bursting with subtle flavours in the mouth, god that yôkan, I wanted to marry it!
After that I went to the WH Smith in Rue de Rivoli where I bought myself this DVD as a gift from me to me:
Because Ben Whishaw is my very own flavour of the month, also Emma Thompson, what's there not to love?
In the evening, I had a meeting with friends to STUFF OUR FACES WITH CHOCOLATE AND ICE-CREAM:
CHOCOLATE FONDUE FUCK YEAH
And my friend Din offered me flowers with a special poetic meaning (it's been years since anyone has offered me flowers, I was very touched by this gesture):
And I got home and found a lovely, brilliant, beautiful Bond/Q fic (this one is in English so enjoy! :D) waiting in my Inbox, written by sweet darling na_shao
Thank you guys for all your gifts and vows (falling_voices, coloredink, I heart you my lovelies!), you made this birthday very, very special to me, and I think I'm going to carry a smile as big as Nine's for at least a whole month!
