Thing-A-Day Week 1

Feb 07, 2010 23:43

To simplify things a bit, I'm posting my whole week at once.

Day 1, Monday, February 1, 2010:
My dog's leash and collar are way past their prime, so I decided this would make a good start for TAD.

Being a large dog, most people assume she's male. In my efforts to counteract this natural reaction, I try to make her accessories as girly as possible.

Day 2, Tuesday, February 2, 2010:
Every pretty collar needs an equally sparkly leash.

Day 3:, Wednesday, February 3, 2010:
Wednesday is D&D night, so what better way to commemorate a Wednesday TAD than to draw in my character's book? We're currently playing Ravenloft, and I'm playing a Viking Dwarf cleric/thief. This is a magical Viking Drinking Horn of Loki (my character's god).

Day 4, Thursday, February 4, 2010:
Today was James' birthday, and he specifically requested that I help him make a gaming screen for Fallout, a game he is working on per special request (and will be ready to play very soon). James dug up a very large pile of Fangoras and we diligently poured through the pages, clipping out just the right images. This task ended up taking so long that we didn't actually get to any of the collaging. But not to worry, this month still has 24 more days to go.

Day 5, Friday, February 5, 2010:
Back to my Viking's sketches. This one is of a magical talking skull I nicked from the evil scientist Dr. Fran (just don't tell the paladin; he doesn't appreciate sticky fingers).

Day 6, Saturday, February 6, 2010:
Brings me back to actually collaging the Fallout game screen. The only thing it's missing is the Fallout logo (which will come later once I get my hands on one). And yes, the screen is made from the corn dog box. Don't ask who ate all the corn dogs.

Day 7, Sunday, February 7, 2010:
Sundays are good days for knitting, so I grabbed my needles and started working on a hat to match the scarf I knitted James for Xmas. I hoped to get further, but only ended up about half way through. At the moment I guess it's more of a very wide headband than a hat.
