muffins and dreamers

I missed the bad poetry posting fest, but I've been going through old journals and would like to present

Untitled, 2000

surrounded
by a little less
scantily clad
police
it is christmas
jingling of phones
a small child
siphons the
last of his brick wall
dreams
dreams have become
passe. tacky perhaps
capitalists return to
their spouses and bore them
to the verge of death.
they in turn cook meatloaf
laced with cornflakes.
revenge confused with
less than lust.
shades of lipstick
confused with
making an impact
in very much the same
manner as those
long beaked birds
confused the
nutritional value
of the cherry cheesecake
muffin and scantily
clad dreamers.

Also, I wrote the adventures of staying in the cheapest hostel in King's Cross with a transvestite, in tetrameter.
