(no subject)
So it has really been forever. Wow.
A bunch of things have happened over the past 6 months. Most of those things weren't very exciting - I think the highlights have generally involved me being in the lab until 1AM moving clear liquids around between petri dishes or writing MATLAB programs under time crunches I probably could have avoided had I planned things better.
- But all the same. Very distracting stuff. I broke up with my boyfriend, for one thing. :/ Definitely my least favorite of all the things I've done recently, but it was for the best. In any case, between that and research, I just couldn't get my head into writing for a while. Chapter 12 also had me stumped, plot-wise; this was one of those chapters that just required some detailed outlining and knowledge of military tactics that I just flat-out did not have. Thankfully, I got to see my little brother this week, and he's about as insane a writer as I used to be (back when I actually posted semi-regularly, anyway), so he helped me bounce some ideas around and was generally a mountain of help. I learned so much about recon and stealth from him, seriously. Haha.
So yeah. My brother is awesome and I'm back on track. :) Thank him when Chapter 12 comes out and actually makes some rudimentary form of sense. Hopefully I'll have it out in a few days. Right now I'm waiting to board a plane for a 3.5 hour flight, so as long as I can keep up my head of steam and am not seated next to a hysterical toddler, I should be able to bang out another scene or two. Cheers. :)
