Westboro Baptist Church is in town.
We've had some suicides lately. Actually, scratch that, we've had a lot of suicides lately. One of our local high schools is nationally recognized as setting the bar for academics. Unfortunately, in a high pressure city where success is measured in SAT scores and AP classes, these brilliant programs can translate to very stressed students. Four teens killed themselves last spring.
Somehow the WBC has decided that these deaths are God's punishment, or who knows what. And it just makes me so damn angry.
