I don't think anybody's actually reading this journal anymore. If you are, HI. You're nuts.
Not really much to say. Things have changed, sort of. I'm now working food service on a military base. I'm a glorified busser. One week in and I already have stress fractures on my right foot. Joy and fantastic. I'm likely to have to work my birthday next week, which is also joy. I think I get time and a half for Thursday though, so that's some small consolation.
I'm also attending college full time -- thankfully an online one. It's been pretty good so far. A few hiccups with accomodations for me being deaf -- one resource that a class relied on heavily did not have captions for all their videos, so boo on them. (The company that produced the videos said that they would 'take it into consideration' when the college asked them to provide captions for the videos.) January will be the one-year mark. Woo, go me? Yeah, I guess so. I still have like... 2 years, give or take six months or so, to go. But in the end I'll have a degree in a fairly stable field, and hopefully can find something that will work. The only bad part about getting a job is that I'm likely to have a boatload of loans to pay off at the end, even though this college is cheaper than most traditional ones. This year I was able to get federal grants since I'm broke as sin. We shall see.
My service dog died in July. Still have the cats. Ex-husband still lives here, we haven't killed each other yet.
Not sure there's anything more to say.
