I finished the last episodes of Pi Li MIT. Conclusions: I LOVED the OTP interaction to the point where I would ff forward to those scenes alone. I don't think I'm a big fan of mystery series and if this drama hadn't had 007/Lucifer (still feel silly typing that) I'm not sure I would have liked it as much as I did. It was still better than a lot of ( Read more... )

Lol.

Oh man, I think I remember watching the first episode of Brown Sugar Macchiato. Honestly, I don't think I liked it that much although I really can't remember much of the experience. Maybe I'm confusing it with something else.

I've seen WtSYA, but When Dolphin Met Cat sounds good. I'm gonna try to find some clip or something of it on youtube. Thanks!

If you watch it lemme know what you think since I've been meaning to watch it.

Sure thing.

I've seen LC but man were the writers smoking pot near the end.

ugh, I heard HORRIBLE things abotu Easy Fortuen Happy Life - something about rape and main guy being a bastard I believe.

My Lucky Star is ADORABLE and has a fantastic OTP, as does Wish to See You Again(the first ep of the latter is a bit awkward but aren't all opening episodes?)

007/Lucifer are almost certainly going on my list of favorite OTPs too.

Really? That's disappointing. I really don't want to touch anything with rape in it with a five foot pole.

Those are really great dramas but I've seen them both. I do agree that Lucky Star has a great OTP. Sigh, they were SO cute together.

Oh GEEZ, Lucifer/007 were just perfection. I wasn't sure I was gonna like them this much when I started--he looked like he was gonna be the typical cold, intelligent bastard type-- but he is just so gentle and sweet with her. *swoon*

oh, just to clarify, Tokyo Dogs is TOTAL CRACK btw. The only way you'll enjoy it(and I super enjoyed it) is to not take it seriously AT ALL and go in with no expectations.

Personally I wouldn't reccomend Easy Fortune Happy Life. The hero was despicable and I couldn't understand why the Chen Qiao En's character liked him. Autumn's Concerto is AMAZING, its got hints a Kdrama angst and misunderstandings in it. It also has really solid acting all around AND no crazy evil secondary characters so thats a refreshing change of pace. Ambergold is right, My Lucky Star and Wish to See You Again are also really good twdramas!

Yeah, I think I'm gonna hold off on watching EFHL.I'm not liking the sound of it the more people tell me about it.

I'll probably start up AC again sometime soon-I got up to one or two episodes before the OTP split-but I'm not really in the mood for that sort of angst now.

Sadly, I've seen MLS and WtSYA already.

Thats probably for the best, but then again Blue Yan is SUPER fine so if you need some eye candy that might be your best bet!
AC really is amazing but like you guessed it has tons of angst.
): Ermmmm Romantic Princess with Wu Chun in it? It was pretty cute.

Dangermousie just posted some vids and ughhh I can feel myself being pulled in. I almost don't care that he's crazy because he's so damn good-looking. Who cares about sanity with a face like that?

I've seen some of Romantic Princess but I really disliked the girl.

Next Stop Happiness (i.e. Autumn Concerto) is super-duper awesome on the OTP front (it's sort of like a bastard child of Mars and My Lucky Star). Highly recced.

Speaking of - I am sure you've seen Mars but in the unlikely event you have not...

Re: Easy Fortune. I don't think there was any rape (unless I missed it :P) but the hero did hire a hitman to kill the heroine (it's a little more complicated - he hired someone to get rid of his arranged marriage fiancee he had never seen while at the same time falling for this girl who actually turned out to be his arranged marriage fiancee). I enjoyed the drama - it made no bones about hero being a bastard until his inevitable reform (he's crazy hot so OK for a one-night stand but certainly not for marriage). It's no masterpiece but it was OK.

How about To Get Her (Superstar Express) with Jiro and Rainie? It's criminally underrated, so sweet, both characters are lovely and OTP is to die for.

I started Autumn Concerto a while back but stopped right before the angst hit. I'll probably pick it up again when I'm in the mood for something angsty.

lol, yes I've seen Mars.

I'm gonna put off Easy Fortune. The guy sounds kinds of psychotic (although he's hot enough that I'm sure I could ignore it) but yeah...

I've already seen To Get Her and I agree that it's a wonderful drama that nobody knows about. Maybe I should watch it again.

I don't know how you feel about subs, but EFHL isn't fully subbed yet. I'm sure you can watch it on viikii, but being that; it's Taiwanese, and therefore the production is less to begin with, and streaming videos are usually crap anyway, you might want to push back until it's fulled subbed. I'm waiting for the subs. I tried watching on viikii, but it was just bad quality.

Did you ever see Prince Turns to Frog? I'm always surprised by how few people have seen it, considering it's one of the big twdramas.

I'm okay with streaming. Thanks for the heads up though.

I haven't seen that although I've heard of it. That's the one with Ming Dao and Chen Qiao En right? Would you recommend it?

uisceros May 19 2010, 05:04:23 UTC
Yup, Ming Dao and Qiao En are in it. I personally loved it. It is, however, 30 episodes long (the episode are 45 minutes). It's similar to Fated to Love You, but no pregnancies, just LOTS of amnesia. It's not everyone's thing, but it is cute. The production isn't horrible, but it's not top notch either (it was made in 2005, which is about when twdramas started getting better, production wise).

I'll put it on my list. But to be honest, I'm not loving that it's so long. I have the attention span of a three year old.
