Secret Garden ep 17

Jan 09, 2011 05:22

Well, what little heart I had before has been shattered into tiny pieces. Like confetti. Only with bloody misery instead of glitter.

...Sue me, I'm feeling dramatic.

Well...crap. Hyun Bin is just a fantastic crier. I don't know if that's really something anyone would like to be because being a fantastic crier involves looking like absolute shit while ( Read more... )

Yes, there is a new ep - it's airing right now.

This is such a great post - can I link to it?

Re: LM story she stuck in his book. I think it was her way of saying farewell and maybe lettng him know she was the mermaid in the scenario (a hint she didn't mean the awful thing she said earlier? No idea).

The thing that makes his sacrifice so huge is that he does it after she told him she never wants to see him again - after (he believes) he gave up everything for her and she dumped him for not doing it sooner I mean, that's sort of like the famous Hanadan scene where Domyouji shows up t be beaten up by goons to save Makino even after she dumped him in a horrible way. Only times 1000.

You never, I never thought about it until you posted it but it's true - it's one thing to kill yourself to save the person you love, but he's giving her EVERYTHING. Everything about him, his body, his money, his family. Everything that's tied to him is gonna be left to her. It's not just suicide - it's total abnegation of self - as if has never existed ( ... )

Sure. No problem.

Honestly, when you posted something in your LJ about how it all just turned into Ladyhawk I was like "...the hell." but then I realized what Joo Won was gonna do. Ugh. It's completely suicidal, but damn if I didn't find it romantic as hell.

Oh and yes! The Hanadan comparison! I hadn't thought of that before you pointed it out. But yes, he's basically giving everything to Ra Im even though he thinks she wants nothing to do with him. It just blows me away. That would require so much love that I'm not even capable of imagining.

Thank god there's anew episode. When I didn't see previews I freaked out a bit. And by "a bit", I mean I nearly punched a wall.

Found your blog via Dangermousie.

Very nice meta! And yes, he basicaly gives himself TO her... Before her, he was just an empty shell and now the shell will be filled by RI after he disolved...

I wonder how RI will deal with that. It's a wonderful act of love but an heavy load too!!! It

Thanks!

I don't know how anyone would be able to deal with what RI is gonna go through. If the switch works and she gets stuck in JW's body it's just gonna have to be such a burden to carry. Someone loved you so much that they literally gave their life away to keep you healthy. It was swoon-worthy, but I'm extremely desperate to see how RI's gonna react.
