Unfortunately, those were the last of my (happy) interludes. These three are actually apart of a series of shorts for s5 (http://bloodshedverse.com/stories.php?go=chapters&no=7240), which goes AU at the end in "The Gift," and leads to an AU s6, which is also unfortunately a WIP (not an indefinite one, but I didn't want to post anything unfinished on here).

But I edited the ending out, because it leads to an AU s6, which I haven't finished (yet) called "...Within Me," which can be found on the same site. I haven't come up with any new FiTB moments, and the couple I do have are Spuffy, but they aren't happy (s6 FiTB), and I'm not sure I can post those here...Anyway, I have one more one shot up my sleeve, and though not canon friendly, I think it's nicer than what we got ;)

Lovely as always. I like how in the Intervention one, Buffy now seems ready to accept the fact that Spike actually loves her. My favourite was the last one, and Spike's "Come here" . . . being the strong one at the moment and Buffy letting him. Just lovely.

I really do think that Buffy leaned heavily on Spike, and allowed herself to be vulnerable around him towards the end of s5 (which is why she sought him out at the beginning of s6 instead of her friends). Also, I think it contributes to her vehement defense of him to her friends in "Spiral." Not just because he was strong physically--he was the only one she could really break down in front of, which is one of the reasons I <3 s5 :)

I agree, completely. There was a good reason she told Spike right away where she had been, but not the others. They all needed her to be strong and happy, but Spike just wanted to be there for her. At the end of season 5, I think she finally started to see Spike, not just as some annoying but harmless vampire, and I think they could have build a solid friendship (and more), from their interactions in the latter part of Season 5, had Buffy not died.

I think we could have gotten more of what we had in s5 reinforced had it not been headed by Maudlin Noxious. She ruined the character of Buffy, and massacred the Spike/Buffy pairing when she should have went to therapy.
