I got a J-O-B...

Yep, that's right. I got a J-O-B!
I received an offer this past Wednesday, and on Friday I decided to take it. This will be all official on Monday, when I had in an acceptance form. So I will be working full time as a PEY student starting in May and for the next 16 months. I can't believe I will be graduating an 0T8 now; I'm sure I'll be the oldest person in my 'new' class next year!!

So I'm pretty happy because I'm finally going to get my 600 hours of professional work experience. No more worries about not being able to graduate because of a lack of work hours. Also, I kinda got my first choice job. I only got one job offer, but this is the job I wanted since December. It's an engineering company that manufactures their own waste-water treatment systems. It's civil, environmental and a small business. I'm excited about being able to see how a small business works.

1 downside. I'm going to have to move....out of Toronto. The company is in Wellington, i.e. Guelph area. I think the drive to and from work is too intense for me, 75K everyday, 2 ways...I don't think so. I'll test it out once, but I'm pretty sure I'd rather live where I work. So if I move, people please visit me. I'll bake you cookies. :)

So that is the most exciting piece of news this week. I still can't believe these people want me or that I've secured a placement at an engineering company.

Other stuff...
I planned my very first mystery date ever. I took Jonathan out for a movie at the Bloor Cinema. I made him a card and put a membership inside, as well as a clipping of the movie we were going to watch. We saw 'A State of Mind'. North Koreans are very interesting and sheltered people. Their lives as communists is SOOOOOO different from our lives. They've all been brainwashed to hate the "Imperialistic USA". In the movie, whenever their was any kinda of unexpected difficulty, such as a blackout (which occurs regularly in the capital) their people would blame the US, who are intentionally sabotaging their lives. (It was kinda funny to see these strange comments coming out of people's mouths, they actually believe the US is causing these blackouts!!) I hope they don't think Canadians are US citizens. The movie never said anything about their relationship with Canada. Anyway, the date was successful. Jonathan said he like the date idea. Plus, I got him a membership, so that means many more dates to come!!

Okay, I better start studying. I haven't done anything this break!! Eeek!!
